It is essentially a ghost
story, but instead of the ghost haunting a house
or mansion, the ghost haunts a submarine during
World War II.
A good B-movie type entertainment with jolts and
jumps, it makes good use of darkness and its
claustrophobic set. The plot is pretty standard
horror film stuff: a questionable death occurs on
the sub, things then go awry and people begin
thinking the sub is haunted.
The extras are pretty good too -- deleted scenes
(only three though), trailers, a featurette (but
not the standard, "talking head" type -- with this
one we see rehearsals next to a split screen of
the finished scene) and a commentary with the
director and most of the cast. |
